just missed a major thunderstorm!

I thankfully got up a little earlier than normal this morning because I hadn't realized that there were some severe thunderstorms in my area overnight. I watched the 5am news and saw flashing orange and red spots on the radar just north of the Lancaster area... thats probably about 150 miles from here. I knew I had 9 miles on the plan so i headed out at just after 5:15, GOOD THING I DID!
Most of the run was pretty much okay except for some strays raindrops until the last mile when it got increasingly dark and the drops started picking up. I made it to my driveway when suddenly it started pouring .. I mean buckets of rain.. The unfortunate part is the guy I passed about 5 minutes ago who looked far from home, and the old woman with the dogs that I saw also .. bet they got soaked! Well, if I had to run in the storm, I would have, but thankfully I didn't have to.
I'm finding myself being really tired with all the running ... but this is where the training makes the difference. I have to manage my running along with working, and getting sleep and getting the other things done that I need to do.. Tomorrow I push the mileage a little higher with a 10 miler in place of the normal 9 miler i'd been doing.
Other than being tired, the runs are getting better... I think i've gotten over the blood donation of 3 weeks ago as i've taken myself off the iron supplement for now. I don't find myself getting fatigued quite so fast, which is a good thing.
