congrats on another marathon! very nice race report - it brought back my own memories of this marathon (ran it in '05... i think?)

i think part of the late crowding w/ the half-marathoners was also because by the time the main pack of marathoners merges with the half-ers, you're mostly getting mixed in with the slower half-crowd who are run/walking and such.

anyway, congrats again on a strong and smart marathon! hope the legs are recovering well.

Great race report. I too had a hard time navigating around the half marathoners but managed to find my pace again.

They should have added more porta-potties, I can't imagine a woman peeing against a tree, but maybe she's desperate to pee. But on top of that they should have rented a couple more of porta-potties.
