I love those days when you just want to keep running even though you know it's bad for you. Haven't had a lot of them unfortunately!

I have been having the same feeling as well, but at much shorter distances. I really want to run but the achilles tendon on my right leg is really painful. I took three days off with ice and stretchinging. I eased back in by starting out on my elliptical and felt pretty good. I wanted to get back out their, but i was following the advice to ease back in so I stopped myself from overdoing it. Well today I decided to walk my five mile distance rather than run and I only made it about 2 miles before I had to turn back. I was very disappointed and really started to question the marathon training idea, but I decided to run over to the running store and try a different pair of shoes. I got a pair of NB 760's which felt good the last time I was in and had a little more height on the heel then the Brooks GTS's I was trying. I also went to the Dr. and he has this therepy that he tried using electrostimulation so their is another angle to try as well. I really want to run, but,...
